A 1970 silver and cut glass claret jug. Elaborate silver mount with mask head handle, Bacchanalian mask spout and grapes and flower detail. Domed lid with a pointed finial. The mount is by Roberts and Belk with hallmarks for Sheffield. Royal brierley lead crystal cut glass cut in square panel form. Brierley name acid mark to underside. Holds over a standard bottle of wine. Dimensions approx 30.5cm height, 14 cm width at base, weight 1580g. Slight wear to glass on bottom of base as to be expected.
