Provenance: Acquired directly from the artist, circa 1990, the vendor being a college student at North Staff Polytechnic who got to know the artist and bought several works from him.
The condition overall is good and the signature is clear, bottom left. Where the pastel is applied very thickly, i.e. on the face of the man, small areas are lifting slightly through contraction. However this does not detract from the picture itself (see images). The frame appears to be original with minor knocks and rubbing at the extremities, otherwise is presentable and ready to hang.
