Francis Caruthers Gould (1884-1925) original golfing watercolour titled "The Orchard" and dated '1887' signed lower right with artists initials - image 5" x 8" # - overall 8.25 x 11.25" - c/w artist's details laid down on the reverse. Note Sir Francis Carruthers Gould, British caricaturist and political cartoonist to contributor to Pall Mall Gazette, Westminster Gazette and also Vanity Fair. He published as F. Carruthers Gould and signed his cartoons FCG. Sotheby's Sussex sold a set of 11 watercolours all signed with initials each measuring 5" x 8" in 1988.
