ANDREW PLIMER (1763-1837), A FINE AND INTERESTING OVAL PORTRAIT MINIATURE ON IVORY OF ROBERT COOPER LEE (1735-1794), in profile facing right wearing a powdered wig en queue and blue coat, 3" high, the reverse of the gold coloured metal mount engraved 'Robert Cooper Lee Esq', 1843 (?) Plimer. The sitter embarked for Jamaica in 1749 aged 13 years wuth a parcel of ribbons, later becoming a slave owner, returning to London in 1771. See: Anne M.
