19th century eight day mahogany "rocking ship " long case clock by T Webb of Newquay, having broken arch pediment above arched aperture flanked by spirally turned columns, pointed arch waist door flanked by spirally turned pilasters on a plain panel base with bracket feet. Arch painted face with rocking ship automaton attached to the pendulum, painted Roman numerals, seconds and date apertures with nautical themed painted spandrels. The face 21x13.5cm approx. Eight day two train movement, striking on one bell. Complete with pendulum and two weights. Overall 2.35M approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT)
Overall good condition commensurate with age, some minor wear to the face.
Lower base panel is cracked and a little dry, slightly faded. Face has wear.
