A good WWI Geo V 1897 pattern infantry officer’s sword, straight, fullered, plated blade 32½”, by Wilkinson, no 46686 (for 1914) on backstrap, etched on both sides with crowned R Arms, GVR cypher and wreath within tightly scrolled foliate, floral panels, pierced plated guard incorporating crowned GVR cypher, plain pommel, chequered backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, with leather knot, in its plated scabbard (several dents) with 2 rings. Sword VGC, a crisp example. Plate 5 £100-150
