A late 19th century Swiss rosewood ten air cylinder music box, with inlaid lid decorated with musical instruments and foliage, paper label listing the airs to inside of lid, with sixty two tooth comb, cylinder 28cm, case 54cm wide, 22.5cm deep, 15cm high. Condition - fair to good.

Mechanism plays on demand and stops on demand at the end of the air; Change and Repeat also work; good tone. Wood divider at integral winding crank missing; comb teeth good; iron base does seem to have been recently gilded and mechanism may have been fairly recently overhauled; new vinyl strip added to facilitate opening the interior glass cover. Rosewood-veneered and marquetry top with numerous old scratches, beech front and sides cleaned; no lock key.
