A rare Caughley 'Apple' and 'Sliced Apple' vase, circa 1780-85, of baluster form, transfer-printed in underglaze blue with associated fruit and sprigs, with cell border to shoulder and foot, C with serif mark, 14.5cm high (numerous chips) Provenance: Exhibited in the 1972 Caughley Centenary. Condition:One large chip to mouth alongside two large foot chips and one further smaller foot rim chip.
