1794 (Nov 4) Entire letter from Charleston, South Carolina, to Ilfracombe, handstamped "BRIGHT / HELM / STONE / SHIP LRE" (S.1), vertical fold, upper edge stains and two opening tears; and 1802 (Aug 31) entire letter from Dieppe to Wales with curved "BRIGHTON / SHIP LRE" (S.3, a few letters unclear), interesting contents describing the voyage, Customs officials, and clothing and food in Calais, a little staining.
