A late 18c eight day longcase clock, the 30cm arch brass dial signed William Flint, Charing and having scroll spandrels to the corners. The four pillar movement has an anchor escapement and rack strikes and it contained in an open mahogany case with swan neck pediment to the hood with three ball and spire finials. There are fluted columns flanking the dial and the trunk has fluted quarter columns. The trunk door has a wavy top with central inlay and a pointed arch line inlay. The plain base has canted corners and a wavy plinth, the clock stand 226cm tall overall.

The movement and dial do not belong to the case and have packing internally and an extra wide mask to the hood to accommodate this . the dial and movement seem in good restored conditio. The left hand moulding below the hood has been badly repaired and the base joints are opening up on the right hand front corner.
