A splendid original oil on panel painting featuring a a rural countryside scene including sheep and their shepherds in an English school landscape style. Stickers to verso read "Rowney and Forster" and "Mayor of Liverpool." Inscription to back attributes this work to the Irish artist Thomas Creswick, however the work is unsigned. Housed in a Chippendale style frame.
