Royal Irish Fusiliers Other Ranks Fur cap. A good example of short black fur with regimental pattern brass grenade to the front. To the left side, a green hackle. The interior is with leather and cotton lining, the latter with ink issue stamps I.F 2 12 (February 1912) 10860. Retaining brass interlinked chin chain. GC with minor service wear. Possibly worn by 10860 Private Samuel Stewart of the 2nd Bn Royal Irish Fusiliers who was captured and taken Prisoner on the 16th March 1915
