A remarkable group of seven folk art Mad Hatter's Tea Party puppets. Made by Kath Gibbons, on Tresco, Isles of Scilly, in the late 1950s, with painted faces, height 42cm. By family tradition, Kath struggled with making the hands and was offered guidance and assistance from Lucien Freud, who stayed regularly on the island.
