Railway. Paper Railwayana. A signal box register from Ashton-in-Makerfield (Wigan), a former St Helens & Wigan Junction Railway signal box. The line the signal box operated on was built by the Manchester, Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway, opened for freight in 1895 and to passengers in 1900. It was later absorbed by the Great Central in 1906. Fully complete and covering the period from Sept. 1959 - Feb. 1967. As always, these are an interesting read! Good used condition.
