A good 6 shot 84 bore self cocking open frame bar hammer transitional percussion revolver, by D. Egg, 11¾” overall, sighted octagonal barrel 5½” engraved “D.EGG, LONDON”, Birmingham proved, with scroll engraved rounded frame and buttcap, and finely chequered walnut grips. Good Working Order and Condition, retaining most original blueing on barrel, colour hardening on hammer, and hints of original finish elsewhere. John Egg of 4 Pall Mall Colonnade traded as Durs Egg from 1841-65. £500-700
