A VERY FINE GEORGE II NEATLY SIZED WALNUT FALL FRONT SECRETAIRE CHEST, from the string inlaid top to the shaped bracket feet this is a very beautiful piece of finely crafted 18th century functional furniture, the top faux drawer falls forward to reveal the compartmented fitted interior with drawers, a cabinet & pigeon holes – the drawers and cabinet door decorated with lovely inlaid detail, beneath the secretaire are four drawers each with a string inlaid edge & brass swing handles & key plates – in a 2 over 2 arrangement. A superb little chest – perfect for a room with a little less space. Dimensions: 65cm wide x 91cm tall x 45cm deep.
