ORIGINAL SINGAPORE P.O.W. CAMP 'DOG-TAG' WITH IMPERIAL JAPANESE ARMY INSIGNIA, ETC.; c.1943 pierced metal(?) name-tag with Japanese characters and the indented number "1558153" and an inked name "G.T. Cook"; Cook was a Lance Bombardier with the 125th Tank Regiment, who was captured on 15 Feb. 1942 during the fall of Singapore. Neville left no notes about where Cook was incarcerated, but further research may find the connection with the Kuching Camp. Rare and poignant reminder of the reality of POW Camps.Cross Reference: MILITARY - P.O.W. MAIL, MILITARY - WWII
