A RARE CHARLES II SILKWORK TABLE CASKET. having hinged doors to the front opening to reveal seven silk-lined drawers, three of them secret behind a panel, the three-tier hinged lid enclosing a fitted interior with glass ink bottles, pounce pots and pin cushion, lifting out to reveal a hand coloured landscape scene within a mirrored surround, on later feet, original metal side handles, height 31.5cm, width 29cm, depth 19cm. *CR Fading and losses to silk commensurate with age, replacement feet with some losses, lid from one pounce pot missing, hinges on front doors need some attention/re-fixing, damages to glass, large split to third tier of lid.
