Medals (3) of 13317 Private George Wilkinson of the South Wales Borderers. 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal 1914-1920, and Allied Victory Medal 1914-1918. Resident of Newport, South Wales. Re-enlisted on 29th August 1914, admitting prior time expired service in the Worcestershire Regiment from 1890 until 1902, serving in both India and South Africa. Landed in France on 11th January 1915 with 1st Battalion, South Wales Borderers. Admitted to 2nd General Hospital, Rouen, aged 47 on 11th December 1915 and medically evacuated to England on the same day with chronic arthritis, debility and senility. Discharged on 11th October 1916.
