This unsigned but totally characteristic work has generously applied pigment on a coarse canvas. To the back it is inscribed by an unknown hand "By Garstin Cox Shaugh Bridge S.W. Dartmoor looking downstream along River Meavy" We believe this has never been framed, it is in original unvarnished condition with accretions. There is a widespread broad craquelure but we believe the work to be stable.
