WW1 OBE (Mil) (1919 hallmarks), 1895 India Medal Relief of Chitral clasp re-named in running script to 67355 Corpl P. Webb No 3 Mtn Bty R.G.A., 1899 QSA 3 clasps Natal, OFS, Transvaal engraved to Condr P. Webb A.O.C. and 1902 KSA both clasps engraved to Lt P. Webb A.O.D. good very fine or better, court mounted for display in presentation box.
Philip Webb's OBE was announced in the London Gazette dated 3 June 1919.
With 16 copied pages of service record, rolls, Army List and LGs, he was born in Honiton, attested in RGA 24/5/88, served India 1889-94, he was not issued the India Medal, does not appear to have served overseas in WW1, appointed Assistant Commissary & Hon Lt 17/9/02, Deputy Commissary of Ordnance & Hon Capt 3/5/13, Temp Commissary of Ordnance & Hon Maj 1/7/17, Commissary of Ordnance & Hon Maj 14/2/18, retired 5/2/20.
