A Chinese green-glazed 'Hunting Scene' pottery vase, Han Dynasty. (206 BC-220 AD) Of compressed globular form, with a central band depicting a hunting scene with mythical beasts, dragons, birds, and two masks with mock ring handles all in high relief, height 36.5cm, width 27cm. The lip of the vase shows wear, loss of glaze and some chips with some further glaze loss on the body of the piece. There is one area which shows a possible attempt at a previous repair, though any damage is not evident. Please see additional photograph.
