INDICIUM DESIGN: A 21 page (large format) display compiled by Frank Walton RDP FRPSL FSPH charting the development of the Tudor Rose indicium design for registration envs. inc. photographic essays and embossed colour trials (some hand painted) by Cecil Thomas, as well as mint & used examples of the various sizes & denominations of the finished envs. Photographic Essays inc. for the 8½d (3, large hand retouched images with different backgrounds), as well as 6d, 1/2½d (2), 1/6d, 1/9d (2); embossed colour trials on piece for the 8½d (red, grey (2), purple (2 shades) & green (2 shades), blue (4 shades), and black on a plain size H env., die proofs for the 6d (2), 1/2½d (4), 1/6d (1, on large card endorsed "Proof No. P.D./ 90 B"), and 1/9d. Also a set of McCorquodale "Contract Standard" sample envs. optd "SPECIMEN" (type PS21) - sizes G, H (2, one with doubled opt), and K (3) - with type written & signed approval 'forms', along with 2 "DELIVERY NOTE FOR SPECIMENS" forms.
