ABOUT ARTIST
Mpho Nkadimeng was born in Limpopo, at a place called Dennilton, growing up he had a low self-esteem and anxiety issues due to certain complexities laid in social perceptions and ideologies, a segregation led to self-isolation and eventually an emotional imbalance, having the trouble of levelling the feelings, he turned to art which served as a neutralizer at first, then became a diary, which led to art being his guidance counselor.
He studied art in Pretoria, which is where he first encountered the existence of art as an environment, which drew out a purpose of being an artist.
The mediums he is currently using are acrylics paints that allow him to explore the portion of singularity and individuality by placing splashes of colors that laid isolated yet combined to create a figures, as well as spray paint that creates 3D effects on the canvas yet they are flat, these process are influenced by his experiences as well as the social behaviors in terms of self-preservation and understanding individuality and self-dependence, in which he aims to convey the importance of self-worth.
