1899 QSA 5 clasps Cape Colony, OFS, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill, Belfast and 1902 KSA both clasps to 608 Pte E. O'Brien Coldstream Guards (Cldstm Gds on QSA) small edge bruise to KSA above rank, otherwise nearly extremely fine. With good quantity of copied research including service papers, rolls, deserters record, trial, Police Gazette etc, Edward O'Brien was born in New Ross, Wexford, enlisted 31/8/96 aged 23, to AR 31/8/99, registered as deserted 17/10/99 and rejoined 11/11/99, tried by DCM 14/11/99 but this punishment cancelled, posted to 2nd Bn 12/2/00 in South Africa, return to UK 21/07/02, discharged 30/8/08.
