A good and unusual pair of late 17th/early 18th century high-back chairs; the top rails carved with 'C' scrolls and having acanthus corners and above shaped splats inlaid with bone in fleur-de-lys designs, the squab cushions over rattan-caned seats, shaped front rails and cabriole front legs terminating in pointed pad feet and united by a shaped H-form stretcher, each chair is unusually carved on the top rail with a crest of a figure holding a large acorn (possibly Masonic?)
