An original 19th century Italian bronze depicting Silenus, the satyr personifying drunkenness who adopted Dionysus. Replica of a Roman bronze unearthed in Pompeii in 1863 and preserved at the Archaeological Museum of Naples. Statue was produced for those who did the 'Grand Tour' after the discovery.
