An late 19th/early 20th century sapphire and diamond brooch, comprising a colourless sapphire (7.67 x 6.44 x 4.23mm approx.) a blue sapphire (9.65 x 7.46 x 5.93mm approx.) a yellow sapphire (9.51 x 6.87 x 6.77mm approx.) and a colour-change sapphire (7.77 x 6.03 x 4.84mm approx.), interspersed by rose cut diamonds, all set in yellow metal, hinged pin and safety loop fastening verso, indistinctly stamped, 3.5cm wide, weight 6.4gms
With accompanying report from Gemmological Certification Services, report no. 5783-1658, stating that the estimated total carat weight is 10.60ct approx., the stones are natural corundum, shows no evidence of heat treatment, and the origin opinion is Sri Lanka.
