A Japanese patinated bronze vase, 19th century, of stout baluster form with everted rim and slightly flared foot rim, the mid-brown patinated body mottled with patches of russet, the shoulder with a family of five frogs climbing in relief, single character mark to base, 8½in. (21.6cm.) high. Good condition overall and very original. Shallow dent to rim and some light surface scuffs/faint scratches to body. Encrusted dust and dirt around the frogs.
