FORWARD over Lion of England clutching a crowned oval shield inscribed with GR cypher, 1780 flanked; LHV below. Approx. 24 mm . Shank . VGC Originally raised in August 1779 upon the threat of French invasion. The first enrolled was Charles Herries, afterwards Colonel of the regiment.
