A Royal Copenhagen Parian sculpture, circa 1900, modelled as 'Ganymede and the Eagle', after the original sculpture by Bertel Thorvaldsen (Danish, 1777, 1844), depicting Ganymede, the gods’ cupbearer, serving water in a drinking vessel to Zeus, the Father of the Gods, who is portrayed as a large eagle, impressed 'Eneret' to the side of the integral base, 26 by 11 by 19cm high.
