A late 19c French drum mantel clock mounted on a carved wood stand (possibly Black Forest) depicting an eagle supporting the globe on its back. The French two train movement is rack striking on a bell and has a lever platform escapement. The gilt dial has Roman numerals and the movement is inset into a brass drum. The clock stands 29cm tall.

More Information

The clock underwent a full restoration in 2011 (invoice enclosed) and is in full working order although the brass drum has slightly tarnished since then.
