A Franz Denk of Wien single fusee skeleton timepiece with pinwheel escapement enamel chapter ring and day date and moon phase subsidiary dials. on a moulded and ebonized base under a blown glass domed dust cover. 40 cm wide x 19 cm deep at the base x 44 cm overall height of dome when in place
All enamel work good and bright. I have wound the timepiece and the drum winds smoothly and positively and the fusee chain transfers nicely. This lot comes with its corresponding pendulum but no key. The movement is running but this is NO guarantee of accuracy or reliability as in any second-hand clockwork mechanism, although this did come from a private residence and I would expect it to be serviceable. The dome is of good quality and blown but I think the movement has probably been fitted on the base under the dome at some point after its manufacture
