WWII Naval interest. Wartime Naval Sketchbook by James Robinson who we believe may have served on HMS Southern Prince or HMS Danae. A 28x19.5cm linen backed hardback sketchbook with approximately 40 pages, possibly 2/3rds filled. Many interesting pencil and ink drawings by a very competant hand, some scenes onboard ship, at home, life drawings from South-East Essex Technical College, ship's dogs, portrait studies drawn during the early 1940s etc. The works are very 'of their time' and provide an interesting snapshot of the 1940s.
