Distinguished Flying Cross dated 1941 in its original Royal Mint Case, 1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star, MID (also entitled to the War Medal) for 32126 Wing Commander Edward Vincent Knowles 296 Sqdn RAF, Died when Whitley BD417 of 296 Sqdn Crashed 23rd August 1942 RAF Andreas, Isle of Man (Buried Andreas (St Andrews) Churchyard). Lot includes original named box of issue Mrs G L Knowles of Manor House, Warboys, Huntington. Named Casualty Medal slip and tikatape. Pilots Flying Logbook. RAF Wings and Sweetheart badges. Photocopy newspaper cuttings. His DFC was L/G 23/9/1941 1409 Meteorological Flight.
