CENTRAL AFRICAN AIRMAILS - BELGIUM CONGO WWII "SPECIAL FLIGHT" COVERS ETC.: 13 Feb 1944 envs/cards (12) to London, Paris, and Belgium (10), all flown on the 1st flight from Leopoldville to London via Lagos by Sabens Airways by Lockheed "Lodestar". All are endorsed "Par Avion Special". However Belgium had not been fully liberated so mail was retained in England, censored and sent to Brussels for distribution as liberation was completed. 10 July 1945 env from Bunia to Kenya by East African Airways. 19 Oct 1945 env from Lusambo to Leopoldville by surface mail, then by BOAC to UK and onward by Pan Am to USA. 27 Nov 1945 env registered from Leopolville - Fisherman's Lake - Natal - New York by the new Pan Am service. Also Belgium Congo adhesives used inc 1942 5c to 20f, 1943 50f & 100f. An interesting group with much being censored.
