A 19thC French 8 day mantel clock, the gilt dial with acanthus scroll and foliate detail. The movement striking on a bell and stamped H. L. F., numbered 1307, and with Louis Japy Fils Medailles d'Argent 1844-1849 stamp. The clock case engraved with floral and foliate detail surmounted by a pedestal urn and on an ovoid base, sat within a glass dome and decorated with foliage, birds and insects, on an ebonised base containing a musical movement. Approx. 33" high overall
