RARE INTERNEE USAGE OF TYPE 2 CARD EX "CAMP [6], KUCHING" WITH SOME BLACKED OUT TEXT TO G.B.; Fine 6 May 1943 usage of the large-margin "IMPERIAL JAPANESE ARMY" card from "Mother Alban, R.C. Missionary" to Manchester with only the Japanese purple censor mark on the front, but most unusually having some lines of the lengthy message blacked out with censor's ink, but still mentioning that she had been recently moved from the Sandakan Camp. Only 3 Internee usages of this Type 2 card (excluding this example) - all from female internees - are recorded by Tett. Very rare example of inked out censorship on Sarawak mail. Exhibition Quality. Cross Reference: MILITARY - P.O.W. MAIL, MILITARY - WWII, MILITARY - CENSORED MAIL, NORTH BORNEO/SABAH
