Of Lancashire Fusiliers interest; an Edwardian presentation oak smokers cabinet, two glazed doors opening to reveal four drawers and a mixing bowl, the doors holding three pipes each, together with seven pipes and a copper Trench Art cigarette box, 41 x 20 x 46cm.
Inscription "Presented to, Qr Mr Serg H.J. Roy, 8th Lancashire Fusiliers, Major Gollop, June 1st 1914."
Major Christopher Gollop joined the regiment as a 14 year old boy in 1868 and became the Quartermaster for the 3rd Volunteer Battalion in 1906. He went on to serve during the First World War at the age of 60.
