A large Chinese porcelain famille verte bottle vase, 19th century, externally decorated with phoenixes and stylised peony sprays, against a green ground, the shoulder of the vase decorated with four shaped vignettes enclosing precious objects, against a geometric border, double concentric blue circle mark to the underside, 42cm high (at fault), raised on a hardwood stand
Dirtied chip to the neck rim. Rim descending hairline crack. Pitted interior. Smaller visible but faint stained hairlines surrounding the rim and foot rim. Firing crack to the foot rim. Small loss to the foot rim. Crazing to the underside can be seen including a spiral example where the glaze has pooled over the surface of it. Some pitting, staining, and surface scratching can be seen to the exterior.
