WW2 British RAF Cockpit Clock MKIID. Bakelite cased, approximately 6cm diameter. Self starting 8-day movement with a centre second hand. The bezel is screwed in and red-painted dummy hour and minute hands are suspended inside the cover glass. These hands can be set by turning two knurled knobs in the centre of the glass. The clock is wound and hands set with a spring loaded knob projecting from the lower right corner. Black dial with Arabic numerals - part luminous. In excellent used condition throughout. The dial is marked with reference numbers 16293/41 (1941 date code). Air Ministry King's Crown marks on the back of the case. Runs and ticks. This pattern of clock was used in some models of Ansons, Battles, Beaufighters, some Spitfires, Beauforts, Sunderlands, Austers, Lancasters and Mosquitos.
