1969/70 Oliver Morel Cotswold School walnut sideboard having slight raised edge to the back, central frieze drawer with curved chamfered handles, fitted with removable cutlery tray, fall-front cupboard below with further removable tray flanked by two further cupboards (possible interior of mahogany and cedar of Lebanon, as discussed in letter from Oliver Morel to the purchaser dated 12/05/1969), flanked by pair cupboards with chamfered curved bar handles, all with ebony and light wood chequered raised beading, on chamfered slight tapering supports, 83.5cm high x 152.5cm wide x 44cm deep approx. (with extensive paperwork consisting of copy letters and drawings from Oliver Morel to his friend Arnold Brain the purchaser (with whom he attended Rendcomb College in Gloucestershire). The letters describe the commissioning of the table, chairs, sideboard and rack (previous and later lots) with discussions about design, types of wood and pricing)
One watermark to the top and a few scattered spots to the right hand drawer. Very minor scratches and edgewear. Small mark to the removeable tray.
