A rare, palaeontological gem, a large (62 carats), unusual, petrified driftwood, often called PEANUT WOOD, oval cabochon. Its appearance is due to boreholes infilled with White Radiolarian sediments in brown-black fossil wood. These types of fossils are only found in the Kennedy Ranges of Western Australia, and they are of Cretaceous age (145-66 million years old). Dimensions: 50 x 35 x 5 mm. Presented in an exhibition box
