FIELD MARSHALL THE DUKE OF WELLINGTON (1769-1852) INTEREST: A letter written in the 3rd person, entirely in the Duke's hand but signed only in the text, agreeing to see Cuthbert Sharp, presumably at his London residence, Hamilton Place. With autograph address panel and the Duke's wax seal, mounted with an original print.

"London, July 30th 1814. The Duke of Wellington presents his compliments to Mr Cuthbert Sharp and will be happy to have the honour of seeing him here, this day at three o'clock."
