Grey (Sir Edward, Viscount Grey of Falloden, 1862-1933). An original manuscript letter, signed by Edward Grey, dated 1st December 1905, to 'Samuel', letter excerpt "Thank you very much for your letter. I hope the fuss will evaporate but of course the proletariat itself will try to keep it alive" (possibly referring to the Relugas Compact), 11.5cm x 17.5cm approx, letter tipped-in onto card for display purposes. Grey was Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs & British Ambassador to the United States.
