in red and black script on sheep skin written in Ge'ez, the ancient liturgical language of Ethiopia, the heading painted with two warriors either side a processional cross, 12.5cm wide
Provenance: With the scroll is an old label signed by Professor Wright, of the British Museum. They refer to the scroll as a 'Volume of Faith'.
