Thomas Uwins - R.A (British 1782-1857) Neapolitan Peasants On Their Way To The Festa Di Pie Da Grotta Watercolour visible image size = 14½'' x 20'' (36cm x 50cm) framed size = 25½'' x 31½'' (64cm x 79cm) signed indistinctively lower right - beneath dogs left paw. Titled to cutaway mount. Highly detailed - highly finished exhibition piece. Old typewritten note to verso states that this was a Royal Academy Exhibit for 1834 - although see ''The Itinerant Musician'' painted in 1840 and sold through Christies 05th July 2006 for the same model wearing exactly the same dress. *An original engraving of this picture by S. Sangster was published in London - 1846 by J. Hogarth of Haymarket.
