A large American fixed face screen, commemorating the “Sweethearts of the World”, the Dionne Quintuplets, identical, born in 1934 in Callander, Ontario, the first quintuplets on record, together with a newspaper cutting giving most of their story, the verso advertising Wilkes-Barre Regalia Factory, PA, approx. 36 x 20.5cm; and a second screen from Wisconsin, entitled “Progress”, showing developments in transportation, ships, motor vehicles, trains and planes, replacing the camel, the ox and cart, and the horse drawn wagon, approx. 35 cm x 18.5cm -34 , in 1933, the Chicago World’s fair was also known as the “Century Of Progress International Exhibition (2)
The first screen has some loss to the paper on the recto, the second has a repair to the right where a part of the cardboard is damaged.
