A c 1880’s teal silk two-piece costume, the fitted bodice with narrow shaped sleeves, machine lace at the cuffs, covered button front, boned, waist tie, trimmed in military style with frogging, repeated on the rear bustle panel, with trained skirt, ruched and swagged to the side, two pleated layers of frill to the hem, gauze lining fitted with ties to shape the skirt, pleats, tucks and gathers to the rear (2)
Inner collar layer of silk has worn. Slight underarm staining but no splitting.
