A RARE MARUDI PROVISIONAL:1945 (Dec) A "Postage Paid/15 Cents/C.A.O./MARUDI"violet provisional typewritten label (being an impression from the carbon paper) initialled and with circular double framed lightly struck "DISTRICT OFFICE/BARHAM" and small portion of a ". BARHAM" c.d.s. Thinned at upper left, but good condition for this. Note:These labels issued by C.B, Murray after failing to receive any supplies of stamps. The military authorities at Labuan disapproved of the labels and removed them from the letters and replaced them with postage stamps. Very few are recorded. BPA Cert (1965)
